Word to your mothers; mine pointed out this slight factual innaccurary during a phone call Saturday night. This is CBC's skyline view of downtown Vancouver, purpotedly taken live around gametime before the Vancouver Canucks took on the Detroit Red Wings.
It doesn't look wrong at first glance, until you compare it with a stock picture used by the CBC for a story on the BC Place roof renovation.
I, for one, am appalled that our public broadcaster does not have aircraft circling each of our major cities 24/7 to provide actual live pictures of all of our skylines as B-roll footage for sports games.
Vancouver beat Detroit 6-4.
